The First Chapter

The First Chapter is a deeply personal series of photographs I created in 2010 and marks my introduction into the world of street photography. In the summer of 2010 I had moved from Belarus to New York, and everything was new and very inspiring to me. I think new places and experiences allow you to look at the world through a different lens. They offer a fresh perspective of the people, buildings, and things that surround your daily life.  I’ll never forget my first time being surrounded by hundreds of bustling people in New York City and all I wanted was to capture those moments.
